Clinical Care Specialist - Infusions
The goal of our newly launched infusion product is to create a better patient experience for our members receiving infusion care– shifting them out of a hospital to more convenient, comfortable, and safe settings (in their home or ambulatory infusion center) and providing them with more engaged clinical support from their providers.
Our enhanced clinical care navigation role is meant to better engage patients directly to support their selection of top-quality infusion benefits. Through this effort, the Clinical Care Specialist will drive improved patient experience and stronger utilization of our services.
Professional RN or PA with infusion experience, who will join a clinical team offering individualized assistance to patients as they navigate their infusion journey. The Clinical Care Specialist will help the patient understand the infusion program and guide them in determining whether or not to make use of the benefit. The scope of this position includes patient outreach, benefit explanation, patient education and ongoing touchpoints with members based on their needs. This role provides education and resources to facilitate and support informed decision making for the patient. The appropriate candidate will have the skills and knowledge to answer questions from patients as they consider the benefit, leveraging various resources of data (from quality review materials to network contracting information) to better inform the patient. Ideally this is a Nurse or Physician Assistant preferably with infusion center or home infusion experience, with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both patients and providers.
