Job summary

A-Line Staffing will place a Registered Nurse (RN) in an outpatient clinic setting in Crystal Lake, IL. The role is contract-based with potential for permanent hire, with on-site work and a 40+ hour expectation depending on clinic needs.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, administering medications, vaccines, phlebotomy, tests, and delivering education to promote positive health outcomes. A BSN and active IL RN license are required.

Qualifications

• BSN required
• Active RN license in state of Illinois
• 1+ year related healthcare experience
• Experience in Primary Care / Urgent Care / ER
• Phlebotomy, Vaccine administration, Point-of-care testing
• EMR experience; Epic preferred
• BLS certification with expiry beyond start date

Responsibilities

• Administer oral, injectable, IV meds, and topical medications
• Perform routine and advanced patient assessments
• Monitor and document vital signs
• Evaluate patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Conduct phlebotomy and vaccine administration
• Perform point-of-care testing and manage medications
• Educate patients on medication administration and self-care
• Document medical histories and care in EMR

A-Line Staffing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Clinic. This role offers career growth, a supportive work environment, and full-time hours (40+ per week).

REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

• Location: Crystal Lake, IL 60014 – 100% on-site.
• Payrate: $58.80/hr.
• Required Availability: Part-Time | typically 2–3 weekdays and every other weekend.
• Schedule & Training: Initial 3 weeks of training/orientation are required. After training, schedules are created in 6-week blocks. Shifts may range from approximately 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours. Typical schedule includes 2–3 weekdays and every other weekend. Some major holiday coverage is required. Must be available to complete the full initial training period without conflicting planned time off.

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Clinic will provide high-quality, evidence-based, patient-facing care in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment. The RN will assess patient needs, administer medications and treatments, perform clinical testing, document patient information, and provide education and support to promote positive health outcomes. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | BENEFITS:

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance. A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications.
• Perform routine and advanced patient assessments.
• Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
• Evaluate patient conditions and monitor responses to treatment.
• Perform phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
• Conduct medication reviews and identify potential side effects or drug interactions.
• Perform mental health assessments, including depression and mood screenings.
• Accurately document medical histories, medications, allergies, illnesses, surgeries, and family history in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients regarding medication administration, self-care, and disease management.
• Connect patients with appropriate healthcare and community resources.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinic environment.

REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Current, active RN license in the state of practice and in good standing.
• At least 1+ year of related healthcare experience.
• Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings required.
• Experience with: Phlebotomy, Vaccine administration, Point-of-care testing- required
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems; Epic experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification with an expiration date at least 30 days beyond the anticipated start date.
