A-Line Staffing Solutions in McKees Rocks, PA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for an outpatient clinic contract with potential permanent hire. The role focuses on patient assessments, medication administration, clinical testing, and EMR documentation in a fast-paced setting.

Scheduling includes six-week blocks with an initial 3-week training, shifts typically 7–10 hours, 2–3 weekdays and every other weekend, with some holiday coverage. Part-time 32–40 hours weekly; on-site only.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable).
• Active, unrestricted LPN or LVN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• 1+ year of related healthcare experience required.
• Experience in Primary Care/ Urgent Care/ ER settings desirable.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Epic.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications.
• Perform routine patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Document patient medical history, medications, allergies, surgeries and other data in EMR.
• Conduct phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and document clinical findings.
• Provide patient education related to self-care and disease management.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinic environment.

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN / LVN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

Location: McKees Rocks, PA 15136 – 100% on-site

Payrate: $37.17/hr

Required Availability: Part-time | approximately 32–40 hours/week

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN / LVN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | Schedule & Training:

Work schedules are created in 6-week blocks following an initial 3-week training/orientation period. Typical shifts are 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours. Schedule generally includes 2–3 weekdays and every other weekend. Some major holiday coverage is required. Must be available to complete the initial 3 weeks of training without planned time off. May require floating to other nearby clinic locations.

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN / LVN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN / LVN) – Outpatient Clinic will provide high-quality, patient-facing clinical care in an outpatient clinic setting. This role involves patient assessments, medication administration, clinical testing, documentation, and collaboration with the healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN / LVN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications
• Perform routine patient assessments and monitor vital signs
• Identify and document abnormalities in blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and document clinical findings
• Perform or assist with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing
• Document patient medical history, medications, allergies, surgeries, and other relevant information in the EMR
• Conduct medication reviews and identify potential side effects or drug interactions
• Perform mental health screenings, including assessments for depression, mood, behavior, and cognitive function
• Provide patient education related to self-care and disease management
• Help connect patients with appropriate healthcare and community resources
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinic environment

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN / LVN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Active, unrestricted LPN or LVN license in good standing
• Current BLS certification
• 1+ year of related healthcare experience required
• Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings
• Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Strong comfort working in a fast-paced, patient-facing outpatient clinic
• Experience with clinical care in an ambulatory setting
