A-Line Staffing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for an outpatient clinic in Kent, OH. This contract position is on-site, offering 32–40 hours per week with shifts typically 7–10 hours, 2–3 weekdays and every other weekend, plus some holidays. Training is 3 weeks before you start hands-on care.

Payrate is $37.17/hr. Benefits after 90 days include health, optical, dental, life, short-term disability, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LPN or LVN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• 1+ year of related healthcare experience.
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings.
• Experience with phlebotomy, vaccines and point-of-care testing.
• Proficiency with EMR systems; Epic EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications.
• Perform routine patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Identify and document abnormalities in BP, HR, RR, and temperature.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and document clinical findings.
• Perform or assist with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
• Document patient medical history, medications, allergies, surgeries, and other information in the EMR.
• Conduct medication reviews and identify potential side effects or drug interactions.
• Perform mental health screenings and cognitive assessments.
• Provide patient education on self-care and disease management.
• Help connect patients with healthcare resources and community services.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked clinic environment.

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN / LVN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION

Location: Kent, OH 44240 – 100% on-site

Payrate: $37.17/hr

Required Availability: Part-time| approximately 32–40 hours/week

Schedule & Training Work schedules are created in 6-week blocks following an initial 3-week training/orientation period Typical shifts are 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours Schedule generally includes 2–3 weekdays and every other weekend Some major holiday coverage is required Must be available to complete the initial 3 weeks of training without planned time off May require floating to other nearby clinic locations

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN / LVN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and document abnormalities in blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and document clinical findings
• Perform or assist with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing
• Document patient medical history, medications, allergies, surgeries, and other relevant information in the EMR
• Conduct medication reviews and identify potential side effects or drug interactions
• Perform mental health screenings, including assessments for depression, mood, behavior, and cognitive function
• Provide patient education related to self-care and disease management
• Help connect patients with appropriate healthcare and community resources
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinic environment

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN / LVN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | REQUIREMENTS

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Active, unrestricted LPN or LVN license in good standing
• Current BLS certification
• 1+ year of related healthcare experience required
• Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings
• Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Strong comfort working in a fast-paced, patient-facing outpatient clinic
• Experience with clinical care in an ambulatory setting
