Job Summary

The Clinical Care Coordinator I demonstrates the competency to provide patient care according to the age-specific population needs and assists in managing patient care in the physician office setting under the direct supervision of a provider.

Required Qualifications

- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Healthcare Association (NHA), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT); or a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by the American Medical Technologists (AMT); or a Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) by the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP); or a certified EMT. Note: Experienced medical assistants with 1-2 years of experience, holding certifications from other agencies or without certification, must register with an accepted agency within 6 months of hire and schedule a test. Certification must be obtained and presented within 12 months of hire.

- Basic Life Support/CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire/transfer.

Preferred Qualifications

- At least 1 year of clinical experience in an outpatient physician’s office.

- Experience with electronic practice management and electronic health record systems.

- Ability to demonstrate self-direction and initiative.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and knowledge of electronic practice management and EHR software.
