Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Clinical Care Associate to support nursing staff and provide bedside care. The role includes helping patients with daily activities, assisting with hygiene, and documenting in the patient care system.

The position requires CNA/CMA/RMA/CCMA certifications with BLS and at least one year of direct patient care. Work hours are from 7AM to 7PM in a busy Atlanta-area unit.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry.
• Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA).
• Registered Medical Assistant (AMT).
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing assistance and patient care for comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort.
• Works within a unit-based, self-directed, multidisciplinary patient care team while sharing tasks with licensed and non-licensed members.
• Performs general clerical and reception duties as needed by the patient unit or department.
• Maintains patient charts, transcribes physician orders, and enters information into the computerized patient care system.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Care Associate provides nursing assistance and patient care for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties within the construct of a unit‑based, self‑directed, multidisciplinary patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non‑licensed members. Performs general clerical and reception duties according to needs of patient unit or department. Position is characterized by preparing and maintaining patient charts, transcribing physician orders, and entering information into computerized patient care system.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
• OR
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• OR
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• OR
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
