Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a Clinical Care Associate to assist with nursing care and patient comfort. You will help with daily living activities, support safety, and perform bedside care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Georgia Registry CNA certification is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Minimum of 1 year direct patient care experience as CNA, PCT, Military Medic or equivalent.
• Color vision adequate for role in specific units.
• Alternative CMA/RMA/CCMA certifications are acceptable.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Care Associate provides nursing assistance and patient care for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties within the construct of a unitbased, selfdirected, multidisciplinary patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and nonlicensed members. Performs general clerical and reception duties according to needs of patient unit or department. Position is characterized by preparing and maintaining patient charts, transcribing physician orders, and entering information into computerized patient care system.

REQUIRED

1. Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
3. One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
