Clinical Cardiologist (3-309-1189) - The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting a general cardiologist to teach and provide clinical cardiology services in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.The ideal candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of the general cardiology programs at the University of Maryland Medical Center (downtown and midtown campuses) and other ambulatory sites.

Expected faculty rank for these positions will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.

The expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $223,754 (min) and $461,371 (max).The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information, please contact the hiring department.

The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.

This position requires a MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent) and candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland medical license,be board certified in internal medicine and board certified/board eligible in cardiovascular medicine.The individual we seek will have fellowship training in cardiology and will demonstrate potential for excellence in clinical care and teaching.Expertise in echocardiography, including TEE and stress echo, as well as board certification in echocardiography from ACE would be highly beneficial.
