Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) seeks a Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist to develop and implement personalized rehab plans for patients with angina, heart attack, COPD, and related conditions. You will educate patients, monitor vitals, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and dietitians to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities include evaluating cardiac and pulmonary function, administering therapies, documenting progress, and supporting wellness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field required; RN license or eligible.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing, PT, or respiratory therapy program with appropriate credentials.
• Two years minimum experience in Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to evaluate pulmonary and cardiac function.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed.
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and prevention.
• Maintain accurate patient records and coordinate with healthcare team.
• Ensure regulatory and safety compliance.
