Job summary

HCA Florida Mercy Hospital in Miami is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join our nutrition team. Under the supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager, you will assess patient nutritional needs, develop and implement care plans, and document care in patient records.

You will provide nutrition counseling to neonatal through geriatric patients and families, support therapeutic meals, and assist in supervising Nutrition Services personnel.

Qualifications

• Licensed Dietitian credential required.
• Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional needs of patients and develop care plans.
• Provide nutrition counseling to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and families.
• Document care in written records systems and communicate nutritional information.
• Supervise Nutrition Services Personnel and support daily operations.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager provides total nutritional care as a member of the health care team. The Clinical Dietitian assesses nutritional needs of patients; develops and implements nutritional care plans; communicates information pertinent to the nutritional care of the patient through written records systems. Provides high quality care to patients. Develops and maintains regular and therapeutic meals/menus. Provides nutrition counseling to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and families and/or significant other. Participates in the supervision of the Nutrition Services Personnel. The Clinical Dietitian strives daily to fulfill the objectives of the Food and Nutrition Services.
