Job summary

HCA Florida Mercy Hospital in Miami is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join the nutrition team. Under the supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager, you will assess patients' nutritional needs, develop and implement care plans, document in patient records, and provide high-quality nutrition counseling to patients of all ages.

You will participate in supervising Nutrition Services personnel and help deliver therapeutic meals and menus.

Qualifications

• Licensed Dietitian credential required.
• Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional needs of patients and develop, implement nutrition care plans.
• Communicate information pertinent to nutritional care through patient records.
• Provide nutrition counseling to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and families.
• Supervise Nutrition Services personnel and contribute to daily operations.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager provides total nutritional care as a member of the health care team. The Clinical Dietitian assesses nutritional needs of patients; develops and implements nutritional care plans; communicates information pertinent to the nutritional care of the patient through written records systems. Provides high quality care to patients. Develops and maintains regular and therapeutic meals/menus. Provides nutrition counseling to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and families and/or significant other. Participates in the supervision of the Nutrition Services Personnel. The Clinical Dietitian strives daily to fulfill the objectives of the Food and Nutrition Services.
