Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to provide total nutritional care as part of the healthcare team. You will assess nutritional needs, develop and implement care plans, and communicate information through patient records to ensure high-quality care for diverse patient groups.

The role includes nutrition counseling across neonate to geriatric patients, supervision of Nutrition Services staff, and participation in daily food and menu planning to support therapeutic goals.

Qualifications

• Licensed Dietitian required.
• Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional needs of patients and develop/tune care plans.
• Provide nutrition counseling to patients and families across age groups.
• Develop and maintain nutrition care plans and documentation in patient records.
• Supervise Nutrition Services Personnel and ensure high quality care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager provides total nutritional care as a member of the health care team. The Clinical Dietitian assesses nutritional needs of patients; develops and implements nutritional care plans; communicates information pertinent to the nutritional care of the patient through written records systems. Provides high quality care to patients. Develops and maintains regular and therapeutic meals/menus. Provides nutrition counseling to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and families and/or significant other. Participates in the supervision of the Nutrition Services Personnel. The Clinical Dietitian strives daily to fulfill the objectives of the Food and Nutrition Services.
