University of the Pacific invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Clinical Professor of Audiology in the Audiology Department. The role delivers clinical audiology services, assists with Au.D. student education, and upholds high standards of humanistic patient care.

The position emphasizes hands-on clinical work, teaching, and program development within a supportive university setting in California. Successful candidates will have Au.D. or Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Au.D. or Ph.D. required or equivalent combination of education and experience prior to AuD implementation, or a 3rd/4th year extern in Au.D. program with projected graduation date 2025
• Clinical service experience with patient-centered and evidence-based approach
• Current, temporary, or permanent California Audiologist license or Provisional license with full licensure within 3 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform audiological services including threshold evaluation, speech audiometry, immittance testing, and otoacoustic emissions
• Counsel patients and families regarding audiometric findings and recommendations
• Provide comprehensive hearing aid services including evaluation, fitting, counseling, dispensing, real ear analysis, and minor repairs
• Refer patients to appropriate specialists and resources
• Provide written reports and maintain thorough documentation
• Participate in student clinical education and precepting
• Teach courses within the AuD program as assigned
• Assist Clinic Director with policies, procedures, and outreach
• Attend faculty meetings and contribute to program development
