Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Dayton VAMC, seeks an Audiologist to plan, conduct, and coordinate diagnostic evaluation and treatment of hearing impairment and balance disorders.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full-current unrestricted license to practice audiology in a U.S. state or territory.
• Doctoral degree in audiology (AUD) or an allied doctoral degree from an accredited program.
• Licensure verification as part of credentialing; temporary appointments may apply per policy.
• Experience and KSAs in evaluating hearing/vestibular disorders and counseling patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and coordinate all clinical and administrative audiology services.
• Perform comprehensive audiological and vestibular evaluations and testing.
• Diagnose hearing, tinnitus, and balance disorders across varied complexities.
• Conduct C&P examinations and provide medical opinions on military service.
• Select, fit, program, and maintain hearing aids and assistive devices.
• Provide aural rehabilitation, patient education, and counseling.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Repair, modify, and inspect hearing aids and related devices.
• Supervise and mentor audiology students and trainees; partner with colleges.
• Maintain clinical documentation and participate in required trainings.
