The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a full-time Audiologist at the Ralph H Johnson VAMC in Charleston, SC.

The role involves comprehensive audiological assessment, amplification fitting, and patient counseling to support hearing health for Veterans and their families. Typical duties include identifying and managing hearing, balance, tinnitus disorders, performing required tests, and supervising and mentoring audiology trainees as part of the education program.

Qualifications

• Conduct audiological assessment and determine need for amplification or referral.
• Identify and manage disorders of hearing, balance, tinnitus.
• Counsel Veterans and families on hearing devices and rehabilitation.

Responsabilités

• Identify, evaluating, diagnosing, managing and treating hearing-related disorders.
• Conduct behavioral, electroacoustic, or electrophysiologic tests.
• Fit and program amplification devices tailored to Veterans.
