The Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery (HNS), University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking an Open Rank Clinical Audiologist Faculty Position with an emphasis in pediatric cochlear implants.
The role will be located at the UNC Children’s Cochlear Implant Center and will involve providing quality clinical care to children from birth to twenty-one who are deaf or hard of hearing with a focus on cochlear implants. Responsibilities include pediatric cochlear implant audiological evaluations, continued follow up of children with cochlear implants, supervision of university audiology students during practicum and fellowships, and care of unique patient populations including bimodal listeners, children using electro‑acoustic stimulation, and children with single sided deafness. The position requires patient and professional outreach, collaboration with outside providers and educational teams, and involvement in the rural mobile outreach program.
AuD and must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice within the state of North Carolina.
