Monday - Friday, no weekends or holidays - Clinic setting

A Brief Overview

Supports injured athletes by facilitating office visits within physician office practices.

What You Will Do

• Follow patient care from check-in to check-out.
• Act as liaison between patient, physician, and office staff.
• Take patient history, triage, and document appropriately.
• Design and educate patients on home exercise protocols per physician’s request.
• Set up patients and educate them on in-office procedures.
• Assist with in-office procedures and prepare accordingly.
• Fit braces and crutches and educate patients on DME.
• Triage patient messages, calls, and questions, resolving issues within scope or escalating as needed.
• Counsel patients on diagnosis, treatment options, and outcomes.
• Support clinic operations to optimize patient throughput.
• Assist Rehabilitation Services patients as directed by Therapists.
• Perform as Athletic Trainer - Outreach Staff for offsite events if participating.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
• Refer to departmental documentation during orientation for specific duties.
• Maintain PHI securely, adhering to all privacy and security policies, including annual training and UH policies.
