Academic Medical Group Inc in Tampa is seeking an Athletic Trainer to support USF Health neurosurgery clinics. The role provides clinical and clerical support, assists with patient care, coordinates appointments, and participates in education and care continuity.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Exercise Science or related field, BOC certification, and at least 1 year of experience in a physician practice. It offers a structured team environment and on-site work at the Morsani Center.

Formación

• Knowledge of clinical procedures, patient assessment techniques, vital signs, basic laboratory procedures, and rehabilitative services applicable to outpatient care.
• Ability to provide safe, patient‑centered care while adhering to emergency protocols, infection control standards, and clinical policies.
• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, providers, and clinical staff to support education, coordination, and care delivery.

Responsabilidades

• Perform and document patient care activities including vital signs, assistance with physical examinations, dressing changes, suture removal, basic lab procedures, and specimen collection.
• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and use Automated External Defibrillators (AED) in accordance with emergency clinical policies and protocols.
• Assist providers, residents, and medical students as a clinical healthcare team member, escalating abnormalities or concerns to the supervising provider as necessary.
• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, diagnostic testing, and follow‑up care to support continuity of services.
• Perform, document, and bill patient visits, including rehabilitation and patient education services, under the direction of the physician.
