Alliance Orthopedics in Toms River, NJ is seeking a licensed Clinical Athletic Trainer to join our elite sports medicine team. This full-time, on-site role offers a dynamic clinic environment and the chance to work with surgeons, therapists, and athletic trainers to deliver exceptional patient care.

You will perform direct patient care, oversee performance testing, develop rehab programs, and employ advanced modalities in a collaborative conservative care setting.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Athletic Trainer License
• Degree from an accredited Athletic Training Education Program
• 2+ years in a healthcare setting with sports-related injuries
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
• Understanding of therapeutic treatments, manual massage, and exercise prescription

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: engage one-on-one evaluations and build rapport with patients to reach functional goals
• Oversee Performance Testing: PPT, FMS, and computer-recorded strength testing
• Exercise Prescription: develop and tailor rehab programs and monitor progressions
• High-Tech Modalities: utilize Alter-G, DRX-9000, Normatec, Game Ready, Litecure Laser
• Interdisciplinary Liaison: communicate with surgeons and medical doctors to streamline care

Summary of Responsibilities

What You’ll Do (Clinical Responsibilities)

• Direct Patient Care: Provide engaging one-on-one evaluations and build genuine rapport with patients to understand their functional goals.
• Advanced Testing: Oversee Physical Performance Testing (PPT), including Functional Movement Screening (FMS) and computer-recorded strength testing.
• Exercise Prescription: Develop and tailor patient-specific rehab programs and monitor progressions/regressions.
• High-Tech Modalities: Utilize state-of-the‑art equipment including Alter‑G Treadmills, DRX-9000 Traction, Normatec, Game Ready, and Litecure Laser.
• Interdisciplinary Liaison: Communicate directly with surgeons and medical doctors to streamline patient care plans.
• Community Engagement: Participate in exciting marketing events, team outings, and company initiatives.

Requirements:

• Valid New Jersey Athletic Trainer License
• Degree from an accredited Athletic Training Education Program.
• 2+ years in a healthcare setting with a strong understanding of sports-related injuries and manual techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills, especially the ability to show compassion for patients coming from all walks of life
• Understanding of therapeutic treatments, manual massage, exercise prescription, and physical therapy techniques and equipment
• An articulate team player who brings energy and a willingness to challenge themselves and their patients.
