Job summary

Alliance Orthopedics in East Brunswick, NJ is seeking a licensed Clinical Athletic Trainer to join our multidisciplinary sports medicine team. You will provide direct patient care, perform performance testing, and help develop rehab programs in a busy clinic.

You will collaborate with surgeons, therapists, and other clinicians to deliver premier conservative care and support patients returning to activity. This is a full-time, on-site role in East Brunswick with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Athletic Trainer License.
• Degree from an accredited Athletic Training Education Program.
• 2+ years in a healthcare setting with sports-related injuries.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Team player with energy and patient focus.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care with one-on-one evaluations and rapport-building.
• Oversee Physical Performance Testing (PPT), including FMS and strength testing.
• Develop and tailor rehab programs and monitor progressions.
• Utilize high-tech modalities such as Alter-G Treadmills, DRX-9000, Normatec, Game Ready, Litecure Laser.
• Coordinate with surgeons and physicians to streamline care.
• Participate in community marketing events and company initiatives.

Summary of Responsibilities

What You’ll Do (Clinical Responsibilities)

• Direct Patient Care: Provide engaging one-on-one evaluations and build genuine rapport with patients to understand their functional goals.
• Advanced Testing: Oversee Physical Performance Testing (PPT), including Functional Movement Screening (FMS) and computer-recorded strength testing.
• Exercise Prescription: Develop and tailor patient-specific rehab programs and monitor progressions/regressions.
• High-Tech Modalities: Utilize state-of-the‑art equipment including Alter‑G Treadmills, DRX‑9000 Traction, Normatec, Game Ready, and Litecure Laser.
• Interdisciplinary Liaison: Communicate directly with surgeons and medical doctors to streamline patient care plans.
• Community Engagement: Participate in exciting marketing events, team outings, and company initiatives.

Requirements:

• Valid New Jersey Athletic Trainer License
• Degree from an accredited Athletic Training Education Program.
• 2+ years in a healthcare setting with a strong understanding of sports-related injuries and manual techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills, especially the ability to show compassion for patients coming from all walks of life
• Understanding of therapeutic treatments, manual massage, exercise prescription, and physical therapy techniques and equipment
• An articulate team player who brings energy and a willingness to challenge themselves and their patients.
