Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Licensed Athletic Trainer to support an outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine clinic, working with a hand surgeon and an Advanced Practice Provider. You will educate patients on injury prevention, anatomy, and rehabilitation, and guide athletes through rehabilitation to return to their pre-injury state.

Room patients, manage DME and injections, process medication refills and authorizations, and assist with front desk and scheduling. Collaboration with providers is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Athletic Training through academic/clinical experience.

• Refer individuals to the appropriate specialist or General Practitioner when necessary
• Provide patient education regarding injury prevention, anatomy, body mechanics, and rehabilitation
• Progress athletes through rehabilitation protocols and return them functionally to a pre-injury-comparable state
• Room patients

• Process medication refills and authorizations
• Order clinic medications for buy and bill
• Collaborate with orthopedic providers and rehabilitation specialists to deliver evidence-based care

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute required
• Completion of an accredited curriculum established by the National Association of Athletic Trainers (NATA) Board of Certification required
• Knowledge of the Athletic Training profession acquired through academic experience, clinical affiliations, and/or previous work experience
• Licensed as an Athletic Trainer through the NATA Board of Certification/applicable state Athletic Trainers Associations
