Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in the School of Medicine in the Permian Basin invites applications for the Clinical Assistant Professor HSC - Psychiatry. This position involves providing comprehensive psychiatric care in general, inpatient and outpatient settings and educating residents, fellows and medical students.

Clinicians will diagnose and treat mood, anxiety, psychotic and substance use disorders, develop individualized treatment plans, participate in multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Board-certified psychiatrist (or eligible).
• 2+ years of clinical psychiatry experience.
• Ability to work in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for inpatients and outpatients.
• Diagnose and treat mood, anxiety, psychotic and substance use disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including medication management and psychotherapy.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Provide crisis intervention and management of psychiatric emergencies.

Position Description

This includes diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care. Major/Essential Functions

General Psychiatry - Inpatient and Outpatient:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for inpatient and outpatient clients.
• Diagnose and treat a range of psychiatric disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide crisis intervention and management of psychiatric emergencies.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents.
• Diagnose and treat a range of psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral or emotional issues.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
