Beth Israel Lahey Health Winchester Hospital in Massachusetts is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant for per diem shifts to support patient care. The role emphasizes safety, empathy, and teamwork within a Magnet-designated regional hospital.

You will assist with activities of daily living, reposition and ambulate patients, take vital signs, collect specimens, and help with bed making and transports. A high school diploma is preferred; BLS is required, and CNA or nursing student with

Competenze

• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients and staff.
• Preferred: High school diploma/equivalent.
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification is required.
• CNA or nursing student with one medical-surgical clinical rotation or three months of clinical care experience.

Mansioni

• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Reposition and ambulate patients.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with activities of daily living
• Repositioning and ambulating patients
• Making an occupied and unoccupied bed
• Assisting in transporting patients, beds, supplies and equipment
• Collecting, labeling and transporting specimens
• Retrieving and signing out blood products
• Accurately performs point of care testing
• Obtains vital signs and weights
• Maintains accurate intake and output measurements
• Removes Foley catheters and saline locks

Education Required

High school diploma/equivalent is strongly preferred.

Certifications

Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support Must have/be one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant Nursing Student with completion of one medical-surgical clinical rotation Three months of clinical care experience Successful completion of the Winchester Hospital: Clinical Associate Training Program (CATP)

Other Skills / Knowledge

Required: For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team Preferred: Basic computer skills

Pay Range

Pay Range: $19.50 - $26.24

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
