Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 2-4 years of experience in the paramedic field or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
  • A Vermont Paramedic License or Vermont Registered Nurse License with EMS experience is required.
  • Knowledge of course content being delivered.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and flexible decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Vermont Driver's license and immunizations up to date.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision, education, and evaluation of students as assigned by the Program Director.
  • Review and abide by student handbook policies.
  • Attend scheduled in-service meetings and department meetings as scheduled.
  • Collaboration with faculty and staff to ensure that syllabi are being followed, learning objectives are met, and evaluations are used to enhance learning.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty.
  • Work outside regular business hours might be expected.
  • Occasional in-state travel may be anticipated.

Clinical Associate - Paramedic EducationSupervises practical application of theory in assigned clinical settings. Demonstrates care and procedures. Fulfill various instructional clinical roles in clinical settings as designed by the Program Director.
