Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Practitioner)

The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of USC and Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), within the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Hospital Medicine, are seeking a full-time faculty member for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Practitioner).

About the Department and Hospital

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hospital Medicine at CHLA, is affiliated with USC KSOM. CHLA is a 495-bed full-service children's hospital. The division employs approximately 70 hospitalists and offers a two-year Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship.

Position Responsibilities

1. Supervise trainees on the inpatient service.
2. Provide primary care on the attending-only service.
3. Manage intake and team assignments for hospital admissions.
4. Participate in institutional leadership in Quality Improvement, Education, and Throughput.
5. Potential supervision of 3rd-year medical students on their pediatric clerkship.
6. Work in a 24/7 in-house hospitalist model, including day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications and Qualities

• BC/BE in pediatrics.
• Interest in inpatient care for a diverse and complex patient population.
• Excellent communication skills.

Compensation and Application
