Clinical Assistant Professor (NIHR Clinical Lecturer) (Fixed term)

Applications are invited from medically-qualified doctors seeking integrated academic and clinical training for a clinical academic career. One post is available in competition among applications from:

  • Respiratory Medicine
  • Endocrinology and Diabetes
  • Renal Medicine

Interviews will be held on Friday, 16th May.

The post is offered on a fixed-term contract for up to 4 years (full-time), or up to 6 years part-time (pro-rata), or until the award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), whichever is shorter. Hours of work are full-time or part-time (minimum 0.6FTE). Successful applicants must be in post before 31 August 2025.

The NIHR-funded Clinical Lectureship offers the opportunity to work with internationally acclaimed research groups at the University of Nottingham’s School of Medicine. You will be trained in state-of-the-art techniques to improve health and well-being and supported to develop an innovative research program leading to peer-reviewed publications and funding applications.

You must be GMC registered with a license to practice, possess a higher research degree (PhD, MD by research, or equivalent), and meet all essential criteria specified in the person specification.
