Job summary

Washington State University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Clinical Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing on the Spokane campus. The candidate will teach across doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate nursing programs, advise students, and participate in clinical evaluation and program improvement.

The role requires current FNP certification, a DNP or PhD in nursing, and at least two years of clinical practice.

Qualifications

• DNP or PhD in nursing by hire date.
• Current FNP national certification.
• At least 2 years full-time FNP clinical practice.
• Meets WA RN/APN licensure with prescriptive authority.
• Commitment to teaching and mentoring diverse students.
• Evidence of clinical expertise and ability to collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Teach doctoral, masters, and undergraduate nursing students.
• Advise and mentor students.
• Serve as clinical faculty evaluator for FNP students.
• Contribute to curriculum assessment and program improvement.
