Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is seeking a Clinical Assistant to support patient care in a rural ambulatory clinic in Juneau, AK. The role involves rooming patients, performing clinical duties, and maintaining lab and exam areas under provider supervision.

Training is provided, with a path to becoming nationally certified through a paid program and tuition assistance for nursing school ambitions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification within 45 days of hire.
• Clinical Competency completed within 3 months and every 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for patient visits by reviewing charts and needed forms.
• Obtains vital signs and records age-appropriate medical history updates.
• Documents information in patient charts and maintains records.
• Performs Point of Care testing and assists with procedures.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean and stocked with supplies.
• Answers inquiries and supports clinic operations.
