Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics is seeking a Clinical Assistant in Springfield, IL for an entry-level, hands-on clinical role working with certified clinicians. You will gain experience in patient care, orthotic fitting, casting, and documentation while supporting device preparation and clinical workflows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Direct patient care interest and compassionate attitude.
• Willingness to learn and follow mentorship.
• Comfort working in a hands-on clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with patient measurements, device preparation, fitting support, and follow-up care within training scope.
• Explain device use, wear schedules, care instructions, and follow-up expectations to patients and caregivers.
• Identify fit or device concerns and report to supervising clinician promptly.
• Support casting, basic lab work, footwear services, device preparation, and minor adjustments as trained.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation supporting patient care and compliance.
• Assist with inventory management, supply coordination, and clinic organization.
• Maintain a clean, safe clinical environment per HIPAA, OSHA, and standards.
