Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant/LPN‑level professional to support ambulatory care. The role involves assisting physicians and nurses, performing procedures within competency, and delivering direct patient care to a wide age range from newborns to elderly in a day-shift setting.

The position is 0.6 FTE with a hybrid work option, located in the Support Services Building. Weekend coverage is not required, shift is 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a compensation range and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant or LPN licensure.
• Certification required within one year of hire; pass certification within two attempts if MA.
• Ability to work 24 hours per week, day shift, with no weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN, Physician and other providers in ambulatory care.
• Provide direct patient care within demonstrated competencies.
• Care for patients from newborn to elderly as indicated.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

• Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program, with certification required within one year of hire (must pass certification within two attempts)
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state
