Boston Children\'s Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care on a brand-new 24-bed complex surgical unit for all ages, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, Transplant and ESRD patients. You will work under supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing routine care tasks and reporting changes in patient condition.
Responsibilities include assisting with feeding and hygiene, taking vital signs, transporting patients and equipment, and supporting
Working on a brand new 24 bed complex surgical unit (all ages), including Orthopedics, General Surgery & Urology, Solid Organ Transplant and End Stage Renal Disease patients.
Being under regular supervision and following established procedures and instructions, providing basic direct care to patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse.
Assisting patients with feeding and hygiene, obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of unit.
Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed.
Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse.
Working 24 hours per week, rotating days/nights and every other weekend.
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
