Job summary

Boston Children\'s Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care on a brand-new 24-bed complex surgical unit for all ages, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, Transplant and ESRD patients. You will work under supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing routine care tasks and reporting changes in patient condition.

• Provide basic direct care to patients under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with feeding and hygiene; measure and record routine information (temperature, pulse, BP).
• Transport patients, supplies and equipment as needed.
• Identify and report unusual findings or changes in patient condition to RN.
• Support a 24-hour-per-week schedule with rotating days/nights and weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned on the unit.

Working 24 hours per week, rotating days/nights and every other weekend.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• A HS Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• 1 year CA experience, CNA Certification, or one round of clinical rotations.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work on a team.

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
