Job description

Rural Health Group - Outpatient Primary Care Positions

Rural Health Group, a multi-location Community Health Center in northeastern North Carolina, is seeking a CMA, LPN, or RN for a full-time position at our outpatient primary care clinics located in the "central region" of our service area. The clinics in this region include:

  • Roanoke Rapids Family Practice
  • Roanoke Rapids Pediatrics
  • RHG @ Halifax Medical Specialists

You will have the opportunity to indicate your preferred location(s) on the application. Hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00/5:30 pm, with some Saturday coverage possibly required.

Starting rates for this position are:
CMA - $19/hr | LPN - $23/hr | RN - $30/hr

Preferred clinical skills/experience include:

  • Phlebotomy
  • Equipment usage (EKG, Clinitek, Hemoglobin)
  • Good documentation skills
  • Tracking and maintaining medical data
  • Immunizations (adult and pediatric)
  • Injections
  • IV therapy
  • Strong understanding of disease management for patient education under provider supervision

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Active North Carolina LPN or RN license, or MA Certification/Registration
  • Outpatient physician office experience preferred
  • Expanded nurse role experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational, telephone, and communication skills
  • Leadership and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a potentially stressful environment
  • Good judgment in responsibilities
  • Professional, pleasant demeanor; ability to work well with the public and provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to establish positive, professional relationships with patients, providers, coworkers, and superiors
  • Knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office software
  • Basic computer skills; ability to learn eClinicalWorks EHR system quickly
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus; translation capacity may require a language assessment
