Job Description

We're seeking a passionate Clinical Assistant to join our Unified Care team with both technical and clinical roles to develop an innovative, team-based chronic disease management program. You will utilize iHealth devices and the Unified Care platform to help manage patients with chronic conditions both on-site and online with other clinical team members.

Under general supervision in a fast-paced Primary Care clinic setting, the Clinical Assistant will assist with direct patient care as dictated by established protocol and coordinate the team to achieve team goals.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• This role requires you to be tech-savvy, comfortable working with internal messaging tools (Google Hangout, Zoom, Google spreadsheet, PDF, printers, etc.), and patient and able to explain technology to a non-tech savvy population. You will teach elderly patients how to use mobile apps and medical devices, and troubleshoot tech issues.
• Communicate effectively with teammates, providers, and staff in the clinic.
• Assist with direct patient care procedures: check-in, obtain histories, take vital signs, prepare charts, assist with exams.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
• Perform routine procedures, such as setting up iHealth products for patients under established protocols.
• Obtain labs and tests as needed by the provider.
• Manage clinic inventories and supplies.
• Educate and advise patients on medical issues within established parameters, including prescription information.
• Manage patient flow according to provider schedules and appointments.
• Maintain examination rooms and support clinic activities.
• Follow safety, environmental, and infection control protocols.
