Position Overview

The Division of Neurology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and USC's Keck School of Medicine seeks a full-time epileptologist to join as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics (Clinician Educator). The ideal candidate will have experience leading a busy epilepsy program and expertise in epilepsy surgery, LTM, CURRY software, Stereoelectroencephalography, and transcranial magnetic stimulation.

Division of Neurology

The division is part of the Neurosciences Service Line, highlighted as a key hospital service. It is expanding rapidly, developing comprehensive child neurology programs and enhancing research. A new integrated clinic space opened in Spring 2021, aiming to provide comprehensive, patient-centered neurologic services.

Comprehensive Epilepsy Center

Our center boasts extensive clinical and neurophysiologic resources, including four pediatric board-certified epileptologists, a busy epilepsy surgery program, and participation in over 10 national clinical trials. We manage over 150 children on ketogenic or modified Atkins diets, with robust outpatient EEG labs, a dedicated pediatric EMU, and neuro-critical care EEG services. Our multidisciplinary epilepsy programs include surgery, diet therapy, genetics, and new onset seizure clinics. We collaborate with the Center for Personalized Medicine for genetic testing and offer a pediatric epilepsy fellowship and residency programs.

CHLA is a busy urban teaching hospital serving a diverse patient population, with active outpatient clinics and subspecialty programs in neuromuscular disorders, movement disorders, neuro-intensive care, pediatric stroke, and more. Faculty provide services across CHLA and five satellite clinics in the Los Angeles area.
