Essentia Health's Superior Clinic is offering a Clinical Assistant Apprenticeship. The role supports RN and physicians, with on-the-job training leading to CCMA certification through the National Health Associations.

Apprentices work under a preceptor, learning all facets of clinical assistant duties in an ambulatory setting. The program includes a one-year full-time training period with classroom study; compensation starts at $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Assist RN, physician and other providers with direct patient care in ambulatory settings.
• Apprentice to become CCMA certified through NHA board.
• On-the-job training with mentors/preceptors.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care tasks under supervision.
• Learn clinical assistant duties and review classroom materials on own time.
• Provide care to patients from newborns to elderly as assigned.
