Job summary

Nashville Hip Institute, part of Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance, seeks a capable Clinical Assistant to support physicians in delivering high-quality patient care. This role emphasizes patient-focused service and efficient chart handling within a leading orthopaedic group.

Ideal candidates hold an unrestricted RN/LPN/ATC/CMA license, with preferred experience in a physician office or hospital and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Athletic Trainer or be a Certified Medical Assistant in accordance with state regulations.
• Experience in a physician office or hospital preferred.
• BLS required upon hire.
• Knowledge of clinical research processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates exceptional customer service and patient focus to make each patient interaction as positive as possible.
• Perform comprehensive medical history review and obtain chief complaints in preparation for examination and treatment.
• Ensure that all patient information is entered accurately and swiftly into patient charts.
• Triage patient telephone calls/emails by answering questions and providing consultation and education to the patients.
• Prepare prescription orders as directed by physician.
• Demonstrate courtesy and helpfulness toward patients by educating them on all aspects of the prescribed treatment plan.
• Assist with coordinating surgery and clinic schedules.
• Manage and coordinate physician referral requests.

Clinical Assistant

As a Clinical Assistant your responsibility serves an important role in our holistic patient care by partnering with TOA physicians to ensure that patient care is of the highest effectiveness and quality. Clinical Assistant responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• BLS required upon hire.
