Job summary

Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery in the Greater Richmond Area seeks an Oral & Maxillofacial Clinical Assistant to join a team dedicated to exceptional care. You’ll help seat patients, prepare treatment rooms, and support daily operations.

The role requires good communication, strong organization, and a solid understanding of HIPAA; X-ray certification is a plus. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• X-Ray Certification preferred but not required.
• Understanding of HIPAA, required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Practice.
• Clean instruments, laboratories, and treatment rooms.
• Stock rooms appropriately.
• Seat and recover patients.
• Follow all clinical related policies and procedures according to practice standards.
• Complete clinical logs and follow cleaning schedules.
• Complete pharmacy logs according to practice standards.
• Follow OSHA, AAAHC, and practice clinical guidelines.
• Complete day-to-day functions in a proficient manner consistent with practice policies, procedures, and mission statement.
• Other duties as assigned by Office Manager.

What You’ll Do:

• Understanding of HIPAA, required.

What It Takes:

• Experience with surgery or oral surgery in a medical or dental practice, preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to assist with sedated patients.
• Prolonged periods of standing, stretching, lifting, and bending.
