The Clinical Applications Trainer delivers comprehensive training programs for clinical and non-clinical end users across all supported clinical applications, with a particular emphasis on electronic health record (EHR) systems. This role is responsible for developing and facilitating training for providers, clinic staff, administrative departments, pillar stakeholders, and vendors in classroom settings, virtually, and in direct clinical practice environments. The Clinical Applications Trainer assigns applications to users and is accountable for achieving deep understanding of the software, workflows, and procedures relevant to each user group. Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Applications and Informatics, this role collaborates closely with clinical informaticists, application analysts, and operational leaders. Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS, Earliest Start Date: Immediately, Position Duration: Expected to Continue, Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40, FLSA Status: Exempt from FLSA.
Requires an Associate's Degree in Health Informatics, Education, Nursing, or related field with at least 3 year(s) of experience in clinical training, informatics, or healthcare IT. Knowledge of data structures and the use of information system applications in the practicing healthcare environment of multi-specialty clinic operations, ambulatory surgery center, research, and higher education. Relevant education or experience may be substituted.
Bachelor's Degree in Health Informatics, Instructional Design, Nursing, or related field with at least 3 year(s) of experience in clinical application training or EHR implementation. Experience with Epic or similar clinical systems.
$94,000 + depending on qualifications
