Summary
The Clinical Application Analyst, Revenue Cycle / Scheduling reports to the Clinical Application Manager, Revenue Cycle / Scheduling, and is responsible for supporting Clinical Specialists with, implementing, and coordinating the production of clinic software applications, including Epic. The role provides support to faculty and students who need assistance with accessing and utilizing clinic applications. Incumbents will assist with developing, building, and implementing solutions to support clinical, revenue, and registration/scheduling activities.

Certification Requirements
The Clinical Application Analyst must attend Epic training and complete the respective Epic certification in one of the following areas within 4-6 months of starting: Welcome & MyChart, Eligibility & Referrals, Benefits, Reimbursement, Charge Routing, Claims & Remittance. Cross-training in additional Epic platforms may be required after initial certification. Certifications require either in-person or virtual training through Epic Systems, including project submission and passing an exam. Certification is a condition of employment.

Requirements include: technical skills, teamwork, excellent communication, creativity, project management, and organizational skills. Must work in a safe manner and maintain regular attendance. Other Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in IT or healthcare-related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience with Practice Management and EHR software or 3-5 years of IT desktop support. Experience with revenue cycle management or billing is desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA and regulatory standards from an IS perspective is required. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to support end users are essential. Experience with software/hardware troubleshooting is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with EHR/PM applications are required. Willingness to learn new systems.
Physical Demands
Must occasionally reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to ten pounds. Frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities include close vision.
Work Environment
Moderate noise level, occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and radiation. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
