Job summary

Bluebird Staffing is seeking a Clinical Applications Analyst (EPIC) in Alaska to lead implementation and optimization of Epic modules (Optime, ASAP, Ambulatory) and related third‑party tools. This role requires deep clinical informatics experience and certifications.

You will collaborate with Clinical Informatics, Information Services and Cyber Security teams, handling configuration, patch management, testing, documentation, and training to ensure system stability and optimal workflows across

Qualifications

• Strong Clinical Applications experience in Epic Optime and/or ASAP and/or Ambulatory Certification (having all certifications is a huge plus)
• Strong experience with 3rd party clinical applications like Muse, ProVation, Rhapsody are preferred
• 5+ years experience in Epic maintenance, support, configuration and implementation
• Experience with Cath Lab IS upgrades, Behavioral Health and Respiratory Health project is a plus

• Assist with the implementation and configuration of software systems, ensuring they meet both clinical and business requirements
• Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for clinical and business applications
• Plan, design, implement, maintain, and provide ongoing optimization and support for clinical, ancillary and/or revenue cycle applications
• Business Process Analysis: Analyze clinical and business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization
• System Integration: Assist with the integration of clinical and business applications, ensuring seamless workflows
• Patch Management: Coordinate with Infrastructure to manage and apply software patches and updates to clinical and business applications
• Collaboration, Training and Communication: Collaborate with clinicians, staff, healthcare administrators, and business stakeholders to integrate IT solutions into existing workflows
• Evaluation and Testing: Evaluates requests for system modifications and enhancements; makes modifications and thoroughly tests to standard and expectations
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to application configurations and support procedures
• Develop training materials and conduct training as needed on applications and updates

SUMMARY
Responsible as a thought leader for maximizing technology performance to achieve the best application outcomes and leads the Hospital’s approach to technical application documentation in collaboration with the Clinical Informatics and Application Teams, as well as within the broader Information Services and Cyber Security departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Implementation and Configuration of clinical applications

• Assist with the implementation and configuration of software systems, ensuring they meet both clinical and business requirements

Support and Maintenance

• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for clinical and business applications
• Plan, design, implement, maintain, and provide ongoing optimization and support for clinical, ancillary and/or revenue cycle applications.

Business Process Analysis

• Analyze clinical and business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and conduct needs assessments

System Integration

• Assist with the integration of clinical and business applications, ensuring seamless workflows.
• Work with IT teams to resolve technical issues and ensure system stability

Patch Management

• Coordinate with Infrastructure to manage and apply software patches and updates to clinical and business applications
• Ensure that all systems are up to date with the latest security patches and software updates
• Test patches in a controlled environment before deployment to production systems

Collaboration, Training and Communication

• Collaborate with clinicians, staff, healthcare administrators, and business stakeholders to integrate IT solutions into existing workflows.
• Support or lead user communication, training and configuration tasks as required

Evaluation and Testing

• Evaluates requests for system modifications and enhancements; makes modifications and thoroughly tests to standard and expectations

Documentation

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to application configurations and support procedures
• Develop training materials and conduct training as needed on applications and updates
