About Northern Montana Hospital

Northern Montana Hospital (NMH) is the center of a comprehensive system of medical and health care services, staffed with a team of caring professionals dedicated to meeting the growing needs of our Hi-Line communities. The not-for-profit, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital features a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and electronic medical record services. Our large, quiet labor/birthing rooms are private and located away from other patient care areas. The private patient rooms on the 5th floor Medical/Surgical Department boast views from every window.

About The Role

This position reports to the Director of Information Systems and is responsible for all NMHC Clinical Systems in the organization, including implementation, technical support, and daily operations. The role requires a strong background in data analysis, SQL, dashboard generation, and knowledge of integration and reporting tools. The candidate should understand interfacing and integration with third-party products, data flow, transformation for reporting, scripting, troubleshooting, database migration, and interfacing. Strong organizational, soft skills, time management, and multitasking abilities are essential.

Qualifications
  • Degree in nursing preferred; other healthcare-related degrees considered.
  • Current license related to degree.
  • At least two years of experience with clinical information systems, software support, or equivalent; MEDITECH EMR experience preferred.
  • Understanding of clinical databases such as Lab, Radiology, and Ancillary departments.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Windows applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proactive with a mindset for continuous improvement, ingenuity, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Availability for on-call duties (one week at a time).
