Clinical Affairs Specialist Opportunity

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) with a deep understanding of Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABPs)? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where you can leverage your clinical expertise to educate and support healthcare professionals? We're looking for a highly skilled and passionate individual to join a leading medical technology company as a Clinical Affairs Specialist in our Interventional business unit.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in augmenting the sales process by partnering with sales representatives and customers. You'll drive the clinical aspects of product evaluations, installations, and post-installation training, ultimately advancing product adoption and ensuring the safe and effective use of critical cardiac assist technologies.

This is a remote role with up to 75% travel. Ideal candidates will be located in the Western US territory (WA, OR, CA, UT, CO, AZ, etc.)

Responsibilities
  • Identifying and supporting field sales efforts through clinical and educational customer needs assessment, product and procedural training, and in-servicing.
  • Developing and maintaining expert knowledge of complex cardiac assist devices, with a particular emphasis on IABPs.
  • Expanding the customer base through professional networking, consultation on best practices, and timely follow-up.
  • Collaborating with sales teams to prioritize targets and achieve regional and territory goals.
  • Providing comprehensive didactic programs and hands-on training to internal and external customers.
  • Actively participating in pre- and post-sale activities to foster customer relationships and develop clinical champions.
  • Staying current with medical literature, clinical guidelines, and industry trends, and communicating insights to relevant teams.
  • Attending educational, scientific, and promotional events at local, regional, and national tradeshows/exhibitions.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of cardiac clinical experience in a hospital or alternate care setting, preferably in Critical Care, with extensive experience using IABPs.
  • Current licensure and credentials applicable to your clinical specialty.
  • Demonstrated expertise in evaluating medical literature and applying it to medical products and applications.
  • Proven ability to interact with diverse specialties within a hospital setting and deliver complex, technical subject matter to clinicians.
  • Self-directed, capable of working independently, and managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, professional communication, and compelling presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and mobile technology platforms.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, domestically.
