The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Eastern Kansas Healthcare System in Topeka, KS seeks a coordinator to align operational and administrative functions under the Deputy Chief of Staff (Medicine Services). Employee will be assigned to the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff (Medicine Services), VA Eastern Kansas Healthcare System, Topeka, KS, and is responsible for the coordination, and integration of operational and administrative functions of the clinical services that fall under the scope of the Deputy Chief of Staff (Medicine Services).
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped them with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-5 level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience includes: providing administrative coordination and support for a clinical/healthcare area; collecting and analyzing data; coordinating daily coverage for clinical areas; monitoring training requirements; and preparing reports.

Superior Academic Achievement at the GS-7 level (Transcript Required): (SAA) is fully qualifying. Successful completion of one (1) full year of graduate education that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position, is fully qualifying for the GS-7. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED).
Combination of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED).

Combination of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED).
The work is primarily sedentary and is performed at a computer or desk. It includes ordinary movement between offices and clinical areas, occasional standing and walking, and carrying light items. Travel between the Topeka and Leavenworth campuses and occasional visits to Community Based Outpatient Clinics may be required.
