This role acts as a bridge between the examiner and claimant to ensure smooth office operations. Essential duties include taking vitals, preparing for exams, drawing blood, ECG/PFT testing, and managing patient flow with strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with claimants effectively.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate claimant records review.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to follow established medical protocols and safety guidelines.
• Up-to-date BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs (blood pressure and pulse).
• Prepare claimant for examination (ECG testing / PFTs).
• Draw blood for lab tests.
• Perform Pulmonary Function Testing.
• Perform Electrocardiogram – uploading for official reading.
• Calibrate equipment and assist during examinations.
• Chaperone claimant during an examination.
• Check-in/Check-out claimants.
• Order entry for diagnostic testing (labs/sleep study/x-rays/PFTs).
• Review medical records and manage clinic flow.
