Job summary

Carilion Clinic Velocity Care is seeking a Medical Office Technician to provide day-to-day staffing in an outpatient clinic, handling both clinical assistant duties and administrative tasks. You will support clinical staff and ensure smooth patient flow in the clinic environment.

The role requires attention to detail, strong teamwork, and proficiency with electronic medical records. Training will cover lab procedures, specimen collection, safety, and compliance with COLA/CLIA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AHA BLS-HCP certification within 90 days.
• Federal drug screen collector credential within 6 months.
• Federal breath alcohol technician certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day staffing in an outpatient clinic, clinically and administratively.
• Assist clinical staff and patients, ensuring smooth flow in the clinic.
• Perform waived testing and handle specimen processing as trained.
• Maintain cleanliness, inventory, and proper storage of laboratory supplies.
