Clinical Account Manager

$10,000 Sign-on Bonus

Annual Salary Range: $75,000 - $110,000 plus uncapped monthly bonus incentives. (Starting salary relates to years of relevant work experience)

A day in the life

You’ll advocate for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. You will serve as a resource for healthcare professionals through fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem-solving skills, you’ll also coordinate care plans with physicians and families. Additionally, you will facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care.

Responsibilities

What a Clinical Account Manager Does

You’ll be a champion of The Select Medical Way, which includes: putting the patient first, helping to improve quality of life for the community in which you live and work, developing and exploring new ideas, providing high-quality care, and doing well by doing what is right.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing your strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
  • Perform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.
  • Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process through removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.
Qualifications

What we\'re looking for in a Clinical Account Manager

Required Skills:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) License.
  • Will consider other designations like LPN, PT, OT, etc., upon further review.
  • Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.
  • Willing to commute to New York City three days per week and to Northern New Jersey two days per week
  • Must have a car for daily travel requirements

Preferred skills that will make you a successful Clinical Account Manager:

  • Demonstrated success in patient advocacy.
  • Superior communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Prior healthcare marketing or business development experience is preferred, but extensive training is provided on this piece.
