Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Practice, the Clinical Access Navigator acts as a liaison among physicians, nurses, and patients. Responsibilities include managing and documenting patient phone calls related to medical conditions, registering and scheduling patients in the EMR (Epic), and performing clerical and technical duties using various office equipment. The role requires knowledge of departmental resources and serves as a key resource for pediatric or primary care patient families.
Experience and Education Requirements
Previous telephone triage experience is preferred. Must be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program, hold a current New Jersey LPN license, and BLS certification (Healthcare Provider Course).
