Job summary

• Experience scheduling appointments preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices incl. ICD-10, CPT & HCPCS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive requests to schedule procedures and schedule them per department availability after pre-authorization.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits via multiple systems or by calling insurers.
• Obtain pre-authorization information and fax clinical details as directed.
• Discuss third-party coverage with patients and arrange for out-of-pocket payments.
