Responsibilities

  • Assist patients into examination positions following safety protocols.
  • Support orientation of new staff and collaborate with team for efficient care.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as patient registration to ensure workflow.
  • Maintain sterilization procedures and keep records per policies.

Position Summary

The Clinic Runner (CNA) works collaboratively with both clinical and non‑clinical teams focusing on providing safe and effective care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

Position Details
  • Status: Full-Time
  • Shift: Days
  • FTE / Hours: 1.0 / 40
  • Schedule: Mon - Fri: Five 8-Hour Shifts between 7a - 5p
Position Requirements
Education

High School Education or GED required.

Licensure
  • CNA required at hire.
  • Medication Aide preferred.
Certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Experience
  • Any experience as a Nurse Assistant preferred.
  • 1+ year customer service work in a health care setting preferred.

  • Capable of traveling between locations on short notice.
Essential Job Functions
  • Escort patients to and from examination rooms, providing assistance as needed and following safety protocols.
  • Confirm patient identity and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Measure and record height, weight, and blood pressure as trained, entering the data into the EMR.
  • Documents patient medication/allergy history into the EMR (active Medication Aide required)
  • Offer gowns or other appropriate attire for the examination.
  • Help patients get into the correct position for the examination, following safety protocols.
  • Apply knowledge and skills to meet the age‑specific needs of the patient population.
  • Demonstrate initiative and flexibility as a team member to provide high‑quality, efficient patient care.
  • Support and assist with the orientation of new personnel as assigned.
  • Uphold organizational goals, policies, procedures, and team decisions.
  • Respect patient rights and ensure confidentiality.
  • Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Communicate patient care issues appropriately and participate in their resolution.
  • Perform clerical and support tasks, including patient registration, to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Conduct cleaning and disinfection, including the use of sterilization equipment, and maintain accurate records to comply with federal and other external regulations by following departmental policies and procedures.
  • Handle sterilized items carefully to ensure sterility is maintained.
  • Stock designated supplies.
  • Comply with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements such as OSHA and The Joint Commission.
  • Communicate effectively to solve problems in routine situations.
  • Exhibit patience, self-confidence, maturity, and compassion, always working as part of a team.
  • Responsible for all other duties as assigned, demonstrating competency.
Physical requirements

This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
