Provides professional nursing care to a specific group of patients in outpatient clinic settings; participates in direct patient care activities; assesses health status through nursing assessments; performs telephone triage; notifies providers of abnormal findings; develops care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team; ensures smooth transitions of care; prepares clinic rooms and equipment; assists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; manages specialized patient care equipment; administers medications and treatments as ordered; monitors patient responses; initiates CPR and emergency measures; covers other nursing roles as needed; provides health education to patients and families; develops and documents education plans; assists in preparing department-specific educational materials; ensures smooth operation of ambulatory areas; maintains inventories of supplies and medications; participates in quality improvement, process enhancements, and research activities; maintains professional growth and meets annual core competencies; maintains accurate patient records; adheres to attendance and schedule requirements; performs related duties as assigned.
Graduation from an accredited nursing school meeting Alabama's standards and holding a current Alabama RN license or a Multi-State RN License under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). USA Health complies with NLC guidelines for Alabama.
